Paws in Focus was created with one simple belief: every shelter animal deserves to be seen at their very best.

Every day, incredible dogs and cats are overlooked—not because of who they are, but because of how they’re seen. A photo taken in a kennel, under harsh lighting, often fails to show their true personality.

That’s where we come in.

Paws in Focus is a mobile photography studio that travels to shelters and rescues, creating professional images that capture each animal’s spirit, expression, and story. These images help animals stand out, connect with potential adopters, and ultimately find their forever homes.

Because sometimes, one photo really can change everything.

Paws in Focus is a passion project founded by Sandy Wilkinson, owner of Sandy Wilkinson Photography, and her daughter, Amanda Garling. Together, they combine professional photography experience with Amanda’s background in dog training and a deep commitment to helping shelter animals get the second chance they deserve—through images that help them get noticed, shared, and adopted.
